What to think about when taking a class:
Learning Environment
- entering/leaving - Where??
- stop/start - whistle, hand signal
- equipment - how (hand out), making it fun, routine
- groups/teams - how you pick teams, grouping
- accident - what is the procedure for if there is an accident or earthquake/fire
- emergency - who looks after the class if you aren't there or unconscious etc
- water - where is it?
- toilet - where are they?
- jewellery - rings off (fingers hurt will have to be cut off), earrings out (otherwise get torn), necklaces off (could get caught) etc
- clothing - correct for weather (inside/outside), hats (sun/cold).
Shift in understandings........
I really connect with the concept of the Whare Tapa Wha model that health is more than the physical well being....
..it is spiritual, physical, social or family, and psychological or mental/emotional health that create an overall well-being or Hauora.
